VISION TO ACTIONWhat's happening on our vision teams. There continues to be a feeling that we are being transformed even as we seek ways to be agents of transformation in our communities. Here's what's happening Community Connections: hosted our second HUNT, the community Easter egg hunt on the lawns of MVHS. See the lead article for details. We again had a great response from the community. Families came from all over the area and had a great time together. Many returned after last year. With dozens of kids scouring the lawn for eggs, the hunt itself ended quickly, but most people lingered enjoying the afternoon and the company. We had a great team to do set up and a number of FCCers who came to just "hang around" and get to know our guests. One woman was trying to figure out who sponsored the HUNT and finally said, "Oh, you must be from the church down the street. They do great things for this neighborhood." Mentor/Tutors: Our six Foothill mentors and tutors continue to be actively involved in mentoring or tutoring at area schools. We hope to have some of our students come and share their experience with over the past year. PNG has given "permission" for us to share the story in this way. Sympathy -Long-time Foothill member, Wes Matthews died on Friday, March 7th after an extended illness. Please pray for his wife, Helen, and children, Susan and Dave. We expect Helen to be moving back to the Bay area in the near future. In the meantime, Helen would welcome calls from her friends, 520/319-4354. Peace be to Wes' memory.
